The Wyndham Kingsgate resort offers tremendous value for families traveling to the area with a wealth of family-friendly amenities, including an 18-hole miniature golf course, large outdoor and indoor pools, activities program, and movie theatre. There are plenty of amenities for adults to enjoy as well, including an adult’s only swimming pool, fitness center, tennis courts, and poolside bar and grill. The King’s Fare Marketplace and Deli (located next to the family pool) offers wine and beer tastings throughout the spring and summer seasons.
A few of our favorite kid-friendly perks include the well-stocked DVD library, children’s playground. and video arcade/game room - offering free endless games. The resort’s central location is a true draw for out-of-town guests looking to take in the rich history of Colonial Williamsburg and the thrill of Busch Gardens - both just a few miles away. In addition to the close proximity to nearby attractions, popular restaurants and shops are all right outside the resort for added convenience.
Everything was nice and property was as described. There were some neighbors above with a young child who was running around very early in the morning making a lot of noise so no one could sleep in.

We had an amazing stay at Club Wyndham Kingsgate! Since we booked through VRBO we didn’t have to do the timeshare presentation- they offered but weren’t too pushy about it. We had a lot of fun on the resort! Since it’s been a warm November week we were able to enjoy the hot tub and indoor pool. The cinema was cool but with a 1 and 3 year old we didn’t want to disrupt anyone by being them I. - my husband did enjoy watching football on the big screen. He also enjoyed putt putt and we all had fun with the chess and checkers sets around the grounds. The gazebo was a relaxing spot! The arcade was fun but a little packed on the weekend. Everything we planned to do in Williamsburg only ended up being 5-7 min drive from the resort which was awesome. We had a blast and will definitely be returning via VRBO!

Normally, as a renter you are in charge of sheets/towels/dishes/trash etc... Here it's more like a resort, if you have a problem call. When you leave you can do the dished (we did), you can take out the trash (we did). Bedding and towels are replaced and washed elsewhere. The resort had an arcade, mini golf, pools, large outdoor games (chess/checkers). It's a timeshare spot you rent, so you do get asked to attend (no obligation) a timeshare meeting. I would recommend and stay again, if I go to the area.

We decided this year to take a family history vacation with our two homeschool children and my Dad, a huge history buff for Colonial Williamsburg Homeschool Days. We rented the three bedroom L.O. and it was absolutely PERFECT for our needs! My husband kept remarking that i did a great job finding our place. The kiddos had their own king-sized bed and bathroom to share, which they got an enourmous kick out of. My husband and I got the very spacious Master suite, and my Dad got his own everything in the lock off portion. We were all so comfortable! The furnishings were just gorgeous - I especially loved the Colonial artwork. The kitchen was well appointed and we enjoyed our breakfasts and dinners in between our history adventures. Then the property itself was incredible! We didnt get to take advantage of too much since our days were packed taking in the sights, but we did visit the Activities Center one evening and were so impressed! We all enjoyed the arcade - even my Dad! My kiddos think this needs to become our next family tradition. Thank you for a wonderful, memorable stay. If we ever get to come back, we will book here in a heartbeat!

We stayed in Williamsburg to visit Busch gardens and surrounding areas with our boys. We had a great stay. The property was so close to everything and super convenient to all restaurants. It was a bonus to have all the amenities right on the property as well, such as mini glof, pools, arcade, and cinema.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Wyndham Kingsgate! The environment was lovely and safe, making it perfect for our family. The kids had an absolute blast with the games in the activity area, and the hosts - Tina and Hannah, were incredibly helpful. We can't wait to come back again!

This property is centrally located, close to dining, activities, shopping, and Busch Gardens/Water Country. Plenty to do on site too! Multiple game rooms- FREE!, indoor and outdoor pool, mini golf, and family friendly activities. Rooms were well equipped for larger families and cooking in as well. We are a family of 6 and this is the 3rd time we’ve stayed at this resort and it never disappoints.

When we come back to Williamsburg, we would absolutely stay here again. The condo had plenty of room and amenities. It had a resort like feel with the pools, game rooms, mini golf, etc. The staff in that area was thoughtful and very kind. We were very impressed with the property. The staff at the resort was very accommodating and the check in process was very easy. The resort itself was very nice, we enjoyed listening to the music by the pool and my kids enjoyed playing the free games in the arcade. One thing to keep in mind was the outdoor pool was very hot- we did go in April but the temps were in the mid 70's and the pool temp felt hotter than that. We would definitely stay here again!

The apartment was just right for us! There were only two of us, but having two bathrooms enabled us to spread out a bit. Having the kitchen was great. We had breakfast and snacks in the apartment, and one night we invited four friends (who were also staying in the complex) for dinner. There was plenty of room for a pre-dinner visit and for all of us to sit comfortably around the table. The complex is located close to Colonial Williamsburg and convenient to shops and restaurants.

We were very happy with our stay at Wyndham Kingsgate. The Suite was in excellent condition, clean and well equipped for our stay. Check in was easy. Kids (13-19) enjoyed the pool and game room and we all enjoyed the lawn Chess and Checkers. Close to everything we planned to visit (Jamestowne, Col. Williamsburg and Busch Gardens). We had a blast and would GLADLY stay here again. Price was awesome for the time we stayed and the space of the property. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed our stay very much. We had 4 adults and 4 children ranging 8 months to 8. The unit was spacious and clean, and had everything we needed. The resort had plenty to keep us busy in between touring the local Williamsburg amenities. The pool was a highlight for our kids, and the mini golf and arcade were nice additions. The pool did get crowded and the pool deck area got a bit dirty (lots of large groups of teen / youth packing into units). This is so minor but many of the dresser drawers in our unit didn’t close / were on a slant so we frequently ran into them while walking by. Only suggestion is to fix the furniture for future guests.

This place was great for our stay in Williamsburg. Super close and convenient to Colonial Williamsburg and historic Jamestown. Our family loved the access to the activity center’s game room, pool and miniature golf course. We were pleasantly surprised to find the outdoor pool heated to almost bathtub temperature, and all the games in the arcade were set to free play mode. The rooms and beds were comfortable and well maintained. We would stay here again. Thank you!

Property was fairly clean as was the unit we stayed in. Not the cleanest VRBO place we have stayed in, but not horrible either. Walls are quite thin and we could hear noise from upstairs neighbors all night long. Check in process took 30 minutes and several "No, thank you" replies to questions regarding purchasing a membership into vacation club. The location is ideal for Colonial Williamsburg and other area attractions. Loved the deck off the living room.

We really loved our stay. We had to communicate with the property owners once, to ask a question about checkout. They were quick and very helpful. Our kids loved the resort amenities (indoor pool, arcade, movie theater, miniature golf) which helped a lot since we happened to travel here during a cold snap. I appreciated the heads up about the sales pitches that the Wyndham folks would do each day. They kept their pitch short, respecting our "no." Though we've stayed in places with higher end finishings, we liked the simple check-in/check-out procedure, the friendly staff, and the amenities enough that we would definitely come back.

We had a great week at the Kingsgate property in Williamsburg! We all loved the pools (regular pool, little kid pool, adult pool and hot tub), arcades, exercise room, mini-golf, life-size checkers, s’mores at the campfire in the evening, nightly movies at the theatre… so many things to do! There were DVD rentals, tennis/pickle ball, and a sauna (that we didn’t get to). There were grills and picnic tables available near the condos. The area was safe and pretty to walk around, even in the evening. Restaurants, groceries, outlet shopping, Busch Gardens, and Colonial Williamsburg we’re all very close. Virginia Beach is about an hour away but there are other beaches that are closer. The condo was spacious, clean and beds were comfortable. The deck was nice to sit out, read and drink coffee in the morning. The kitchen had all the pots, pans, baking needs and utensils. Maintenance and housekeeping were very accommodating and quick when necessary. The concierge and all other staff were very friendly and helpful! Tina was very good to work with as well. I would highly recommend this property!

The property is conveniently located to major attractions in Williamsburg, and easily accessible to local dining options. The check-in process can be a little congested with so many people checking in at the same time. We had to wait. The individual unit was clean, well-stocked kitchen for eating in. Room was dated, needs updating. The property management communicated often to make sure we had what we needed at all times. The pool was crowded. It's summertime. There was little supervision - especially kids running & jumping in all areas. The deck around the pool was not cleaned off daily - hairbands and fake eyelashes were there 3 days. My family enjoyed the location. The property management has lots of activities for families. We had a great time, despite the inconveniences above. Will consider again in the future.

We enjoyed our stay here. We received the information about check-in about 48 hours before our trip with detailed information. Check-in was easy. We were asked if we wanted to attend a timeshare presentation, but we declined and weren't asked about it again. We were in a two bedroom unit on the third floor, and it was clean and quiet. We had no issues with being on the third floor, but the buildings have no elevators so be aware of someone in your party has mobility issues. We also enjoyed the amenities a lot such as the pool, mini golf, and movie theater. The location was convenient for Colonial Williamsburg and Busch Gardens while being close to a lot of restaurants and grocery stores.

This property served as a very good home base for our tours of the American Historic Triangle. The property allowed us to cook dinners and relax after long days of touring. The service was very good and the Activities Center provided fun options for my 8 yr old son, even though at times the pool was extremely crowded. Overall we had a very nice stay.

The pools and other activities were great to have available. We were in a very quiet unit with a balcony overlooking a small wooded area so felt very private. We would highly recommend this place!

My only problem was the morning after we checked out I called the resort back to let them know my granddaughter had left her clothes in the bottom drawer in one of the bedrooms and it wasn’t until the following Monday that they called me to tell me when they went to check there was nothing there. If the person who did the cleaning had gone into that bedroom and checked the drawers she would’ve found the clothes. By the time they did check, someone else had already been staying in the apartment . Other than that, perfect vacation!

This was our family second time at this resort and we love coming there. We enjoy the pool and the other activities that resort provides. Also the fact that everything close down at 10pm is great. We don’t have to travel far to the beach or any other Destinations that we had planned for. The one negative response I do have is that are check in time was at 4pm and we arrive at 8pm and was told we were going to have to wait because our rooms wasn’t ready yet. My husband and I was a little disappointed about that after driving from up state NY to Virginia all we wanted to do is relax after a long day of driving. But other then that we enjoy our stay there and will definitely come back in the future.

We stayed at Wyndham kingsgate and we had a blast! The unit was clean and comfortable with really high end finishes. The kitchenette was equipped with good quality utensils appliances and just about any you would need to make a complete meal! Only complaint would be lack of counter space and storage. Believe me we weren't trying to slave over 3 course meals or anything but there was nowhere to even put a box of cereal and some bagels. There wasn't even enough space on the counter to butter bagels. We had to use the table which made things tight. Also only 1 towel bar in the bathroom for a family of 4 drove me nuts. Next time we may consider getting a 2 bedroom instead of the 1 BR. The washing machine/dryer in the unit was a game changer. Overall great experience- I definitely recommend and we're already planning our next visit! And I forgot to mention there's so much stuff to do at the resort you don't have to spend a ton on outside attractions!

We have a great stay at Kingsgate! We used all of the facilities, including pools, hot tub, arcades, and movie theater. The family all loved it. We also did an excursion to Colonial Williamsburg/William & Mary college. The location, restaurants, and shopping near by were great as well.

Lovely Resort with plenty of amenities to choose from. The suite we stayed in was clean and updated however you could hear the upstairs neighbours walking around in the middle of the night. Next time we will stay in an upper unit. Otherwise it was an enjoyable visit and good proximity to the Site Seeing Venues.

We came for a much needed family vacation with 4 adults, 3 teenagers, a 9 year old and two toddlers. We had a 3 bedroom condo suite that held all of us comfortably. With 2 living areas it gave us room to comfortably spread out. the toddlers loved the balcony on our unit which looked over the pond and the ducks & geese came up for food. The boys loved the arcade, the computer center let me print tickets for Busch Gardens, and the miniature golf was so much fun. We look forward to returning in the future - hopefully we can stay longer!
